I have beautiful kids....really!

Colleen made me promise to post pics, so you would not believe my drawings. LOL. As you can see she really is a pretty girl (inside and out, too).

These are the photos I used to try drawing more people tonite.

This is Anotai, our exchange student from Thailand.

and here are the crazy drawings--please read Colleen's comments which I included on the page. I'm posting them anyway though....cause you know, you have to start somewhere, right? After reading Laura's blogpost about noses, I was trying to put some real noses on them.

I also have a handsome son that I could probably make look like an old, creepy coot next!

Faces can be so challenging -- I've rendered my grandchildren to look like real weirdos .... you're on your way though ... and I applaud your sketches!

Aww, you guys make a girl feel so good...esp when I was feeling so unsure of myself. Lindsay, I am glad you are using the postcard trick....it's a good way to do little moleskine size watercolors and include them in your book.

Great idea to capture her thoughts there, too. It's only fair to let the models speak. Beautiful girl - you must be so proud!

Great looking kids!!!! And they are such good sports letting Mom sketch them too. ;) I think you did a wonderful job capturing the faces.

Well maybe there is something a little masculine about the sketch of Colleen, but you did manage to capture her essence. I like it. Colleen is a gorgeous girl. No wonder you are proud of her. :o)

I enjoyed your whole site, but especially the drawings of your dd and f.e. daughter. Only 1 of my 6 kids are home yet, but they all have memories of sitting still for me. one asked me 'do you want to draw me putting on my deoderant?'.
your site makes me want to draw. thanks.
