Gemini Giant-Wilmington, Illinois

Tonight I added the Gemini Giant from the Launching Pad in Wilmington, Illinois. For some reason I had a lot of trouble with this dude, but I think he is finally OK.
This poor car has been last on the list of things to do with my son's wedding, the shop and various other craziness in my life. There will be some serious action on it in the next month. I'd like to be all done with it by the end of July.

HPP? As in Hawaiian Paradise Park? That's where I live! I'm originally from Illinois, though. Gosh yes, Let's do a sketchcrawl someday!

Yes, that HPP! This gets better all the time...I live in Illinois now...in Pontiac, IL. Once I housesat sat for a good friend, and the next time I rented a little house on the ocean in HPP. I'm all about going back to HI! Feel free to send me an email: homeagain62(at)verizon.net

Wow, Joyce, what a cool idea! Found you through the EDM group. This work is phenominal. How did you start doing this type of work?

Thanks! Basically I'm doing the same thing on the car that I do in my sketchbooks. I started keeping a sketchbook going all the time a few years ago when I found EDM. With the car, I'm working from lots of photo references since I haven't traveled the whole Route 66. So this is a journal of my "imaginary" trip down the Mother Road.
