Walked 2.5 miles

and stopped downtown to make this sketch. I love the old buildings downtown...it would be so neat to live in one of the spaces above the stores. Lots of them have very cool windows...most are not being used. Sorry about the quality of this.....I just started wearing contacts and using reading glasses cause I need bifocals.....yikes.....I forgot my reading glasses on the walk, so I could not see the page as well as I would have liked. We could call this semi-blind contour...LOL.

So often we miss those architectural treasures because we don't look up. You've captured the variety of those lovely windows even if you were 'blind'. I have at last got used to my extremely expensive varifocals and no longer spend all my time frustrated at not being able to see.

A lovely drawing - I used to fantasise about living over a shop, then I 'realised' it would mean marrying the grocer and I changed my mind - I think nobody married him.

have a good day love these old buldings also live in Pittsburgh and one of these days I'll find that loft that will be my new home.

All my life I have wanted to live in one of the spaces above a downtown store. I love the buildings and the whole feeling of being downtown in any town. Who knows, Maybe one day I will actually be able to convince my husband to buy and renovate one.

If you couldn't see, your pen certainly could! This is a lovely sketch, I always get way too hung up on the detail. I live above an optician's shop - only drawback is when his alarm goes off.
