Sketching Pohoiki Bay

My little sketch in progress

Today we just sat by the ocean and sketched. Fun, fun, fun. There are a ton of problems in this sketch...but did I enjoy myself? Absolutely! One of these days I'm going to take a water color course from Kate Johnson and learn how to use my watercolor pencils...but for now, I'll just keep muddling along.

My mom working on her sketch.

Mom shows her progress.

All done...I think.

Thanks for visiting my sketchblog(actually it's a joint-blog with another friend and my fiancee). And I so glad you enjoyed it and it's so sweet that you leave the comments on my latest, and the one with the 2 girls too. :)
I like your sketch of this red house. The lines are so smooth, and clean, the colors are just so well executed! I would love to do more water coloring but they take a lot of time ^^
Would love to see more of your work! Good luck and have fun at Kate Johnson's course. I just got my copy of "An Illustrated Life" and her work there is awesome!

Found you via our beloved "woolgatherer". Isn't she inspiring?

Oh, this is nice! So very "islandy" - yes, I know that's not a real word, but it sure looks like Pohoiki!
