Draw a Fruit

I work at a local market part-time as a cashier. It isn't bad work, but my feet sure get tired!

This is one of the few times I have tried colored pencils and I have never really liked them...this is the first thing I have ever drawn with them that I liked. That wierd pattern is just the store name scrambled up a bit.

Wow, I think you did a great job on this sketch! How fun to work there. I probably would eat my wages if I were there. I bet you meet lots of interesting people too.

Joyce, I have NeVer liked pencil crayon either but you've done something so terrific here. I suspect you are living up to your blog name and DRAWing DAILY to have produced such an excellent piece in your sketchbook.

This is a very nice sketch with colored pencils. For some reason, I've felt similar towards them and have resisted trying them in my Moleskine... but perhaps I'll have to follow your lead and give them another chance. :) The apple looks delicious!

Colour pencils can be a very powerful medium if you know how to master it. I like the outcome of the apple. Great detail to the tone. All you need is some time in getting used to it.

Joyce, I love your blog! I used to be a cashier in a supermarket and my manager would have flipped out if I spent anytime drawing.

You are probably right about not blogging about the teens. I've gotten into trouble before with them because of it. Then again, it's nice to know that other mothers are struggling with the same issues. Better and safer to stick to colored pencils!
