Challenge #28-Draw an appliance

When we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago we kept our old appliances to save money. So this is my 20 year old stove. I covet a new one with 2 ovens (one over the other) but I keep waiting for this one to die first.

We like to fish and only live a block from the river, so we have some fish things in here-but it is not too over the top.

I always have trouble with perspective--I think I kept it pretty good in the stove sketch, but I lost it on the cabinet where the fish hook is hanging.

I am less interested in correct perspective than the wonderful job you did on the hanging towel and the backsplash on the wall and the objects. Very nice!

Don't worry too much about the perspective. The drawing looks fine and very nice hatching!

Wow...I love all the detail. It's fun to see someone elses living environment. Very nice work and I love the towel too...nice touch.

Thank you for the encouragement. I have been using zig millenium pens. Sometimes I go over them with some watercolor to add some color. I like these pens because they really seem to be waterproof-never have had one smear.

You are an ambitious lady -- I would never have tried anything that complicated! You did a beautiful job, too -- this is a fascinating sketch with lots of interest, and well drawn! I don't see much perspective problem from here...

Your journal drawings are full of line and life. They're really very good. My eye keeps moving across the page searching for anything I've missed. Beautiful work.

thank you so much for your comments. Janey, every time I visit your blog it makes me want to order some of the copic markers and try them out.

Pedalpower, these are awesome! I feel like I could be standing right there. There is so much life and character in your lines. Love the details (like the tile backsplash).
